BOWLING FOR SOUP | LIVE MUSIC | 2025

I’ve loved Bowling for Soup for years, and hearing they’d be doing a 20th anniversary tour for A Hangover You Don’t Deserve I HAD to shoot it!

This show was at The Halls, Wolverhampton - a great venue for bands like this. I have to say knowing that songs like Almost, 1985 and Trucker Hat are now 20 years old is a bit unsettling - but the audience had plenty of energy. The other band on the bill, Wheatus found a similar vibe and remarked that it was strange to thing that the teenagers in the audience weren’t even born for Teenage Dirtbag.

I haven’t seen Bowling for Soup since 2006’s Get Happy Tour, and the band has since welcomed Rob Felicetti to the bass role, and seen the live retirement of guitar legend Chris Burney. It would be lying to say Chris wasn’t missed, but the chemistry between Jaret, Rob and drummer Gary Wiseman was incredible and it’s great to see them still kicking ass live.

I enjoy most of the shows that I shoot, but I really enjoyed this one - a real bucket list shoot. Being in the pit covered in confetti for 1985 was such a rush - though think about this: if they released the same song today, they’d be singing about 2005.

You’re welcome.

Shot for MMH Radio Online.
